Connect LGPSTime to a GPS
First step is to connect the GPS receiver to the computer. Each GPS manufacture has their own way of connecting the GPS receiver to the computer. GPS receiver can be connected via Bluetooth, USB or the serial port to the computer. In any case, connection to the computer should be by means of a serial port (virtual port in case of connection via USB or Bluetooth).
The communication port must be set to the same port the GPS receiver is connected to. If GPS receiver is present, LGPSTime read a textual data from received NMEA messages.
Standard communication settings for NMEA 0183 is 4800 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and no parity. If using a GPS receiver and it is connected to the computer, select the port the receiver is connected. Note, LGPSTime will remember these communications settings.
The figure presents in what way you can select the communication setup.
