PC Requirements

LGPSTime requires the following requirements to function properly:

•Windows 2k/XP/VISTA or Linux (need download version for Linux from http://www.lavresearch.com/download)
•12 Mb of hard disk space
•1 free serial port (most likely a virtual port) to connect the GPS receiver to

GPS Requirements

The GPS receiver must provide support the NMEA 0183 Standard.

LGPSTime use the following NMEA commands to set the PC clock successfully: GPGGA and GPRMC.

The combination of these sentences is required to determine the GPS integrity. Having a good GPS signal fix will help guarantee accurate time when LGPSTime sets the PC clock.
